Want Soft VSM Shadows on a Single Layer Water Material?

Try adding these lines to your DefaultEngine.ini:

r.Water.SingleLayer.DepthPrepass=1 
r.Water.SingleLayer.ShadersSupportVSMFiltering=1 
r.Water.SingleLayer.VSMFiltering=1

That will let any single layer water based material receive soft VSM shadows!
