family went home a couple days ago so recharging my Give a Shit batteries after the blitz of getting ready for them and then hosting them
Had a lame start since I was awake for about 22 hours before I was able to rest. But after getting a nap in and some time to myself I got a good chunk of work done. A couple friends got me into FF16 that just came out so I'll probably dive into that some.
i'm doing pretty good, turning the big 3-4 on Sunday and i've been up late drawing (it's almost 6AM here). going to go downtown for drinks with the homies tonight and then have a small gathering at my home on my birthday.
happy birthdaaaaaaay
My partner and I have been house hunting for about half a year and we are so tired of it lol
Good, but tired. Needing to do a lot of website stuff in short order, but that's a lot of us right now, I imagine. Getting up the gumption to remake a map I lost the file of for an indie project I'm helping with. Spare time will come along soon, I'm sure!
Rentin' or buyin'?
Buying! We really want a place that we can do to whatever we want (within the law of course)
I've been wondering if that's something I could perhaps aspire to. I always assumed it was going to be impossible and maybe it is, but I'm sorta realising I've never looked into it because of that assumption and glancing around. It's pretty complicated and intimidating
Sure is, there's a ton I had to learn in the past year+! From how financing a house works (this one's bound to be very different between countries...) to what you really need to take a hard look at when you're viewing a house in person (age and type of heating is an ahem hot topic in Germany right now).
It's also a really long and arduous process in general - even after filtering out obvious lemons we look at 10 houses we dislike for each one that we like. And then you either find one big problematic issue or it's over your budget and others outbid you...
It's certainly a marathon, not a sprint, but... well, we're game developers
